Overview
Cutlass is a 14-foot autonomous surface vessel from Saronic Technologies, sized between the small Spyglass and the 24-foot Corsair, built to transit significant distances with greater payload capacity for the Joint Force. Its stated roles include deploying third-party payloads or kinetic and non-kinetic effectors, acting as a communications relay node in adaptive command-and-control networks, and identifying, classifying and tracking other surface vessels. Cutlass made its first live-exercise appearance during the US Navy's Integrated Battle Problem (IBP) 24.1 in March 2024, where it was successfully integrated with an Anduril ALTIUS loitering munition to extend its launch reach. As of August 2026 Cutlass is no longer featured on Saronic's public vessels page, which currently lists only the larger Corsair, Mirage and Marauder platforms; Saronic has not publicly announced whether Cutlass has been discontinued, consolidated into another product line, or simply de-emphasized in marketing.
