Overview

GE markets the F414-GE-400 as roughly 35 percent more thrust than the F404 it descends from, in a similar-sized package that shares much of the F404's maintenance ecosystem. Its adoption as the sole or primary engine on four next-generation programs outside the U.S. Navy, Gripen E, KF-21, Tejas Mk2 and AMCA, has made it one of the most widely exported Western fighter engines of the 2020s.
