Hindustan Aeronautics Limited

AMCA

India's indigenous fifth-generation stealth multirole fighter, designed by the Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA) under DRDO for the Indian Air Force and Navy, with production execution to be carried out by HAL and other shortlisted Indian firms. A full-scale engineering model was publicly demonstrated at Aero India 2025; first flight is expected around 2028, with induction targeted for 2034-2035. Early aircraft will fly on modified General Electric F414 engines (Mark 1) pending a domestically co-developed engine with France's Safran (Mark 2).
