Overview
The FP-1 is a Ukrainian long-range one-way-attack drone developed by the domestic manufacturer Fire Point, in production since October 2024 and fielded operationally by mid-2025 against Russian military and logistical targets deep behind the front line. It is a fixed-wing airframe built with radar-absorbent materials, powered by a two-cylinder piston engine driving a pusher propeller, and launched with a solid rocket booster. Reported specifications, which vary somewhat by source and configuration, put its effective range at up to roughly 1,600 km and its modular warhead, available in fragmentation or shaped-charge form, at 60-120 kg. Guidance combines inertial navigation with satellite positioning and electronic counter-countermeasures intended to resist jamming. Fire Point has reported a unit cost around USD 55,000 and, by mid-2025, production exceeding 100 units per day, with more than 5,000 units built. The FP-1 is one of the Fire Point family that also includes the shorter-range FP-2 strike drone and the long-range FP-5 Flamingo cruise missile.
