Overview
EagleEye is Anduril's wearable mixed-reality soldier system, publicly unveiled at AUSA in October 2025 as the follow-on to the Army's Integrated Visual Augmentation System (IVAS) and the hardware for the Soldier Borne Mission Command (SBMC) program. It integrates ballistic augmented-reality eyewear with hearing protection, night vision, radios, and soldier-borne power and compute in a single system, deliberately moving the processor and battery onto the helmet to balance weight around the head rather than in front of the eyes. At its core is a collaborative 3D mission-planning and visualization interface that overlays live video and sensor data, and it links into Anduril's Lattice network so a soldier sees a fused picture drawn from drones, ground vehicles and other assets beyond direct line of sight. The program is a partner-first effort: Anduril has cited Meta for display and optics, Qualcomm for semiconductors, Oakley for ruggedized eyewear and Gentex for the helmet. In September 2025 the U.S. Army awarded Anduril a roughly $159M SBMC prototype contract, with about 100 prototypes planned for field testing in the April to June 2026 window; public estimates put the per-unit cost at roughly $25,000 to $40,000.
