Overview
The Skydio X10D is Skydio's flagship tactical sUAS, built around a magnesium and carbon-fiber quadrotor airframe rated IP55 against dust and water and able to launch in under 40 seconds. It carries a modular sensor package (VT300-Z or VT300-L) offering combinations of a 64-megapixel narrow camera, a 48-megapixel telephoto or 50-megapixel wide camera, and Skydio's first integration of a Teledyne FLIR Boson+ radiometric thermal imager, giving operators day/night identification and reconnaissance capability. Onboard autonomy runs on an NVIDIA Jetson Orin GPU delivering roughly ten times the compute of Skydio's prior generation, enabling obstacle avoidance and AI-assisted flight even in GPS-denied or communications-degraded settings. The X10D is on the US Department of Defense's Blue UAS Cleared List and is designed, assembled and supported in the United States, positioning it as Skydio's primary offering for tactical reconnaissance, perimeter security and search-and-rescue missions across US military and public-safety customers.
Full specifications
Performance
Speed, range, altitude and engagement capability.
| Max speed Maximum level speed. For aircraft this is at optimal altitude; for ground vehicles, top road speed. Higher means faster response and better kinematic performance. | 72 km/h |
|---|---|
| Service ceiling Maximum operating altitude. Higher gives energy advantage and sensor horizon. | 4,572 m |
| Endurance Time on station. Critical for UAVs and patrol platforms, higher means longer persistent coverage. On a ground robot, published continuous run time on a full charge or fuel tank. | 0.7 h |
Physical
Dimensions, weight and crew.
| Combat weight Fully loaded weight. Lighter eases transport and bridging limits; heavier often means more armor. | 2 kg |
|---|---|
| Crew Personnel required to operate. Fewer reduces exposure; autoloaders trade a loader for mechanical complexity. | 0 |
Propulsion
Engine, power and fuel.
| Propulsion type Turbofan, turboshaft, diesel, gas turbine, solid-fuel rocket, ramjet… | Electric quadrotor |

Sensors & avionics
Radar, sensor suite and datalinks.
| Sensors IRST, EO/IR turrets, laser designators, sniper pods, thermal sights. | Modular VT300-Z/VT300-L gimbal payloads: 64MP narrow camera, 48MP telephoto or 50MP wide camera, Teledyne FLIR Boson+ radiometric thermal sensor, 640x512px, <30mK sensitivity, NVIDIA Jetson Orin onboard compute for autonomy |
