Overview

AIP (Artificial Intelligence Platform) is Palantir's generative-AI layer, built to connect large language models and other AI models to an organization's existing data holdings and operational workflows on top of Palantir's Foundry-managed ontology. AIP provides a development toolchain for building AI-driven agents and automations, an evaluations framework for governing AI behavior in production, and a library of AI-enabled end-user applications. For defense and government customers specifically, AIP is engineered to allow controlled, auditable deployment of commercial large language models such as GPT-4o inside classified environments, with data-masking and chain-of-thought reasoning features intended to give operators visibility into how an AI-generated recommendation was produced before it is acted on.
