PLS A2 (Palletized Load System)
US Army 10x10 heavy tactical truck with an integrated hydraulic load-handling system that self-loads and unloads 20-foot flatracks and containers without external lifting equipment, distinct from Oshkosh's HEMTT/MTVR truck families. The A2 configuration, ordered from April 2025, adds digital control layers, improved power distribution and autonomy-ready electronics on the same M1075-series chassis so it can operate with the Army's convoy-autonomy modules.

Performance
Speed, range, altitude and engagement capability.
| Max speed Maximum level speed. For aircraft this is at optimal altitude; for ground vehicles, top road speed. Higher means faster response and better kinematic performance. | 100 km/h |
|---|
Physical
Dimensions, weight and crew.
| Length Overall length including gun/probe where applicable. | 10.8 m |
|---|---|
| Width Overall width, matters for rail/road transport of vehicles. | 2.52 m |
| Height Overall height. Lower profile is harder to spot and hit for ground vehicles. | 3.28 m |
| Empty weight Weight without fuel, ammunition or crew. | 24,040 kg |
| Crew Personnel required to operate. Fewer reduces exposure; autoloaders trade a loader for mechanical complexity. | 2 |
| Cargo payload Maximum cargo the transport can carry. Higher means more lift per sortie. | 14,965 kg |
Propulsion
Engine, power and fuel.
| Engine Powerplant model and type. | Caterpillar C15 15.2-litre 6-cylinder diesel |
|---|---|
| Engine power Engine output power. Higher moves more weight faster. | 600 hp |
