Overview

The Sokil-300 ("Falcon-300") is a medium-altitude long-endurance (MALE) unmanned aerial vehicle developed by Ukraine's state-owned Luch Design Bureau, unveiled domestically in November 2020 and given its international debut at the IDEX 2021 defense exhibition in Abu Dhabi. It has a 14-meter wingspan, an 8.57-meter fuselage length and a maximum takeoff weight reported around 1,225 kg, with a stated maximum payload of roughly 300 kg. Publicly reported figures put its maximum speed at about 335 km/h, its operational range at up to 3,300 km, and its service ceiling around 12,000 meters, though as with most Ukrainian systems fielded since 2022 these manufacturer-era figures have not been independently re-verified against current production standard. As a strike-reconnaissance platform, the Sokil-300 is designed to carry Luch's own precision-guided munitions, including the RK-10 and Barrier anti-tank guided missiles derived from the Stugna-P family, giving it a hunter-killer role rather than pure reconnaissance. Luch has not publicly disclosed unit cost, production numbers, or a confirmed operational fielding date with Ukrainian forces; the aircraft is best understood as a domestically developed MALE UAV program that has been publicly demonstrated but whose full-rate service status remains unclear from open sources.
