PROTECTOR RT60

Kongsberg's heaviest remote turret, extending the PROTECTOR family beyond the medium-caliber MCT into a more heavily armed and armored configuration built for IFV-class 8x8 vehicles such as the Boxer. Mounts a Mk44 30x173mm cannon with a 7.62mm coaxial machine gun, twin under-armor anti-tank guided missiles and a Commander's Independent Weapon Station (PROTECTOR RS4), building on the lineage of the RT20 (USMC ACV) and RT40 (US Army Stryker) turrets. Completed successful live-fire testing on a Boxer in Norway in 2023 and has since been refined by KMW into a Boxer 'Dragoon' turret module; not yet in production.
