Dingo 2
A German all-protected transport vehicle (Allschutz-Transport-Fahrzeug) built on a Mercedes-Benz Unimog 5000 4x4 chassis by Krauss-Maffei Wegmann, now KNDS Deutschland. Designed around mine and IED survivability, the Dingo 2 uses a MEXAS armoured capsule to protect its two crew and up to eight dismounts from small-arms fire, shell splinters and anti-tank/anti-personnel mines. It typically mounts a remote-controlled weapon station with a 7.62mm or 12.7mm machine gun or a 40mm automatic grenade launcher, and has been used for reconnaissance, patrol, convoy escort and command roles by Germany and several export customers.
