Overview
EXTRA is Elbit Systems' long-range guided artillery rocket, the mid-tier round in the PULS launcher family between the 40 km ACCULAR and the 300 km Predator Hawk. Elbit quotes an engagement envelope of 30 to 150 km with an accuracy of 10 m circular error probable, achieved regardless of weather and without dependence on additional systems. The rocket is supersonic and highly responsive: the manufacturer states a 150 km target can be struck in less than five minutes. It carries a 120 kg unitary warhead available in two types, controlled fragmentation and penetration, which Elbit presents as particularly suited to urban-terrain operations. Intended targets are high-payoff fixed sites such as command and communication centres, logistics installations and transportation infrastructure, giving ground formations a precision-strike capability that Elbit notes was traditionally the preserve of air forces. Rocket diameter, length and launch weight are not published on the manufacturer's product page and are therefore omitted here rather than estimated.
