SKY

Patria SKY is a tactical multi-rotor unmanned aerial system developed with professional operators for security and defence surveillance work, and Patria states it is already in operational use with authorities. The airframe and motors are IP43 rated and the system is cleared from -32 to +45 degrees Celsius. Empty weight is 2.2 kg against a maximum take-off weight of 6.5 kg, with a maximum payload of 2.5 kg; folded dimensions are 58 by 58 by 37 cm and the system packs into a small case or backpack. An optional XL kit substitutes longer motor arms and 22 x 7.0 inch propellers, raising MTOW to 9.4 kg and payload to 5 kg at 66 by 66 by 37 cm and a flight-ready weight of 4.4 kg. Endurance is quoted as up to 101 minutes empty with special batteries and up to 64 minutes empty with standard batteries; the record uses the 101-minute figure. Controlled operational range is more than 15 km and maximum speed is 22 m/s, recorded as 79 km/h. Payloads are field-swappable, and Patria lists the NextVision Raptor turret at 640 g with 1920x1080 electro-optical imaging, 80x zoom and a 1280x720 uncooled LWIR thermal channel, and the 115 g NextVision DragonEye2 with 1280x720 EO, 40x zoom and 640x480 LWIR. Both support object detection, classification and tracking with STANAG 4609 video output. The aircraft can be flown manually in GNSS-denied environments and run pre-planned automated surveillance missions, and the datalink is deliberately isolated from other networks unless integration is required. Elistair SAFE-T 2 and LIGH-T 2 tether stations are offered for persistent operation at 100 m and 70 m respectively. Ground control is the same SkyControl station used across the Patria drone line.
