South Korean aerospace and defense manufacturer and a core affiliate of Hanwha Group, tracing its roots to Samsung Precision (1977) through Samsung Techwin and Hanwha Techwin before adopting its current name in 2018. It absorbed its former defense-systems subsidiary Hanwha Defense in a 2022 merger and now builds the K9 Thunder self-propelled howitzer, K21 IFV, K239 Chunmoo MLRS, K30 Biho SPAAG and the Hyunmoo missile family.
