Overview
Aslan is ASELSAN's tracked combat unmanned ground vehicle, fielded with the Turkish Armed Forces' 66th Mechanised Brigade for roughly three years and deployed to NATO's STEADFAST DART 26 exercise in February 2026. It carries an ASELSAN SARP-L remote weapon station armed with a 7.62x51mm FN MAG machine gun, and is compatible with the Roketsan METE laser-guided mini-missile. Aslan is semi-autonomous, controlled over a primary radio link rated to approximately 1.2km, with a 4G/LTE backup link for extended range. Sensors include a 360-degree panoramic mast and an optional tethered surveillance drone. Dimensions of approximately 1.85m length, 1.35m width and 1.45m height, and a combat weight of up to 750kg, are given for the current fielded configuration. Note: an older, conflicting spec set for Aslan also exists, citing 700kg weight, 4h endurance and an 800m control range; this is likely an earlier production configuration and is not merged with the figures above.

Full specifications
Performance
Speed, range, altitude and engagement capability.
| Max speed Maximum level speed. For aircraft this is at optimal altitude; for ground vehicles, top road speed. Higher means faster response and better kinematic performance. | 10 km/h |
|---|---|
| Endurance Time on station. Critical for UAVs and patrol platforms, higher means longer persistent coverage. On a ground robot, published continuous run time on a full charge or fuel tank. | 7 h |
Firepower
Armament, payload and guidance.
| Main armament Primary weapon: main gun, cannon or missile type. | ASELSAN SARP-L remote weapon station with 7.62x51mm FN MAG machine gun |

Physical
Dimensions, weight and crew.
| Length Overall length including gun/probe where applicable. | 1.85 m |
|---|---|
| Width Overall width, matters for rail/road transport of vehicles. | 1.35 m |
| Height Overall height. Lower profile is harder to spot and hit for ground vehicles. | 1.45 m |
| Combat weight Fully loaded weight. Lighter eases transport and bridging limits; heavier often means more armor. | 750 kg |
| Crew Personnel required to operate. Fewer reduces exposure; autoloaders trade a loader for mechanical complexity. | 0 |
Sensors & avionics
Radar, sensor suite and datalinks.
| Sensors IRST, EO/IR turrets, laser designators, sniper pods, thermal sights. | 360-degree panoramic mast, Optional tethered surveillance drone |

Autonomy & control
How the platform moves, how much it does without an operator, and how far the control link reaches.
| Locomotion How the platform moves: tracked, wheeled or legged. Tracks suit soft ground and heavy payloads, wheels favor road speed and range, legs handle stairs and rubble. Not a ranking, a trade-off. | Tracked |
|---|---|
| Autonomy level How much the platform does without an operator, as the manufacturer describes it. Vendors do not use a common standard, so this is a coarse editorial bucket, not a certified rating. | Semi-autonomous |
| Control range Maximum published operator-to-vehicle control-link distance, normally line-of-sight radio. Higher keeps the operator further from the threat. This is NOT the vehicle's driving range. | 1.2 km |
