Overview

The TAROS V4 is a 6x6 electric-drive unmanned ground vehicle prototype from Czech state enterprise VOP CZ, with an individual 10 kW motor driving each wheel. Its 1,850 kg combat weight includes an approximately 350 kg payload, and range comes from a 341 Ah battery pack rated for around 40 km. Top speed is 15 km/h on paved surfaces, dropping to about 10 km/h on dirt; the platform's chassis is rated capable of up to 25 km/h. It can be fitted with a remote weapon station carrying a 12.7mm machine gun.

Full specifications

Performance

Speed, range, altitude and engagement capability.

Performance specifications
Max speed

Maximum level speed. For aircraft this is at optimal altitude; for ground vehicles, top road speed. Higher means faster response and better kinematic performance.

15 km/h
Stronger than 23% of UGVs
Range

Maximum distance: ferry range for aircraft, operational range for vehicles, maximum engagement distance for missiles. Higher means more standoff or persistence.

40 km

Physical specifications
Length

Overall length including gun/probe where applicable.

2.83 m
Width

Overall width, matters for rail/road transport of vehicles.

1.78 m
Height

Overall height. Lower profile is harder to spot and hit for ground vehicles.

Combat weight

Fully loaded weight. Lighter eases transport and bridging limits; heavier often means more armor.

1,850 kg
Crew

Personnel required to operate. Fewer reduces exposure; autoloaders trade a loader for mechanical complexity.
